or the first of the pandemic birthday letters
โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ Past Paige's Advice โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

in my early twenties post-undergrad i started a birthday tradition of writing future-me a letter that I sealed up and wouldnโ€™t open until I was 1 year older

this gift to myself serves as a bit of a time capsule and after almost a decade of writing them dominant themes emerge. in a way these have helped me identify and return to the core of who i am

I am usually the first one awake in my house and sink into that special quiet morning ambience and read my letter letting it soak in and preparing to pen the next one.

despite moving more times than I can count on fingers and toes i have an uncanny ability to remember precisely where my bday letters live in the often paper and craft tornado that is my art studio/office/home/brain

theyโ€™ve been stored since the beginning in a rainbow dolphin lisa frank folder all in a bundle

as the pandemic rages on and the numbers of those who have dodged covid dwindle and my inner defeatist/nihilist grows louder I revisited my 2nd pandemic bday letter and wanted to share with you all

Letter from 28 yo Paige โ†’ 29 yo Paige
